What is email harvester? Email harvester is a spidering tools or people who collect people’s email from a website/ internet. They will use these emails for spamming or sell it to a third party for advertisement purpose.
What will happen when they got your email? You’ll start receive many junk and bulk emails (unwanted emails). Sending junk and bulk emails is considering as spamming.
So, how to avoid this things from happen?
If you have a website, do not write your email or show it in your website. If you want to write your email, so people can contact you, you can write it like this “my email is xxxxx at yahoo dot com” or you can use image with your email stamped on that image. Don’t put a link on that image. You can also use “contact form builder”. Visitor can fill the message form and send it to you without knowing your email. Just put “contact form builder” in your search engine box to find more. Here, on my website VeeSite.Com, look at my right sidebar. When you click on Contact “Me”, you can see my message form and you will not find my email there. When you press “Submit”, your message will go to my mailbox.
One more, if you make a post on any blog or internet forum, do not put a link to your email.
