Siti Nurhaliza And Datuk Khalid Bin Mohamad Jiwa (Datuk K). Wedding of the year. Top Malaysian singer, Siti Nurhaliza to marry Datuk K on August 21, 2006.

The engagement and akad nikah ceremony will be held at Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan, while wedding receptions are scheduled for Aug 28 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and Sep 3 in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

Siti’s parents’ 38th wedding anniversary also falls on Aug 21, Siti revealed at the press conference to announce the wedding.

The couple have commissioned Datuk Raja Shah Rezza from Nusantara Gems as wedding planner, with the reception at the KLCC to feature a “garden wedding” concept.

Fashion designers Radzuan Radziwill, Michael Ong, Khoon Hooi, Natrah Hisham and Anana Avanti have been engaged to design the wedding costumes, which will feature traditional songket and tekat.

Makeup artistes Nurul Shukur and Mia have also been engaged for the events.

About Datuk K:

A business studies graduate of Universiti Teknologi Mara, Khalid began his career with Bank Bumiputra as an officer.

His last position with the bank was as head of credit at the Pandan Indah branch in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

In 1996, he was appointed as a director of PASDEC Holdings Bhd, a public-listed company owned by the Pahang Development Corporation.

However, it was his involvement in the entertainment scene that purportedly led him to Siti Nurhaliza.

Khalid had created in 1999 the ACE Group of Companies, which dabbles in TV media management and broadcasting operations.

His sister Zaiton was responsible for the Feb 23 Konsert Amal Kasih charity event which featured Siti Nurhaliza among a host of local celebrities.

Khalid, 47, and Tengku Zawyah married in Sungai Petani, Kedah, on Dec 24, 1985 and divorced on March 12 last year.
