    Reducing Cell Phone Radiation

Does high radiation frequency especially from using cell phone pose a health threat to humans? Critics say ‘Yes’. Their opinions are supported by the fact that more people are complaining of sleepless nights, headaches or just ‘not feeling well’ in general. These health problems cannot be justified solely based on thermal effect. Other more serious illness such as cancer are being pointed at high frequency radiation. It’s always better to minimise cell phone radiation.

Here are a few tips you can follow:

Cell phone radiation: Avoid talking when getting a bad signal because the phone will be trying to send signals on its highest capacity to reach a relay.

Short and sweet: A lengthy call would increase radiation to the head. If need be, use SMS instead as send signals are shorter and radiation is not directed to the head.

Avoid using phones in cars: The car’s frame can bounce signals. To overcome that problem, the cell phone would send stronger signals meaning increased radiation.

Use hands-free: Radiation from bluetooth headsets are far lower compared to not using headsets. It’s even better if using a wired hands-free kit.

Buying a new cell phone: Choose one with a low SAR value, probably below 1.0 W/kg. This already applies to new phone models. Do your own survey before buying.
